Next Step is a food, weight and workout tracking tool for adults aged 18 and over. It does not diagnose, prevent or treat disease and does not replace a healthcare professional’s assessment.
The diary, food search, barcodes, manual food entry, calories, macros, full food diary history and weight entries are free. Next Step Plus includes favourites, your reusable food library, recipes, saved meals and meal copying, the workout diary and optional workout energy adjustment, weight charts, weekly and monthly summaries, and Apple Watch support.
Next Step Plus is an automatically renewing annual subscription. The Finnish App Store price is €9.90 per year, billed in full to your Apple Account after purchase confirmation. The exact price appears in the app and Apple’s confirmation sheet. Cancel in Apple’s subscription settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends if you do not want it to renew. After ordinary cancellation, Plus remains available until the paid period ends. Refunded or revoked purchases follow Apple’s verified entitlement status. Restore purchases and subscription management are available under Next Step Plus in app settings. Deleting the app or its data does not cancel the subscription. Earlier data stays readable and exportable after the subscription ends.
Calculated energy needs, weight-change timelines and workout energy can differ from actual values. Database information may be incomplete or incorrect. Check package labels and your own entries. The app does not guarantee a particular weight change or health outcome. During pregnancy, breastfeeding, illness or difficulties related to eating, agree on suitable goals with a professional.
The app is used without an account. Data is kept on the device and may be lost if the app is deleted, the device fails or you change phones. You may export your diary, but this version does not support automatic recovery or importing export files. Food search depends on internet connectivity and an external service.
Online search uses the Open Food Facts database under the Open Database License (ODbL). Individual database contents use the Database Contents License. Your diary entries are not published to that database. Product trademarks belong to their owners.
